Sony has announced a new Astro Bot game at the latest State of Play event, set to release in 2024 for the PS5. Developed by Sony’s first-party studio Team Asobi, this latest addition to the Astro Bot series promises an exciting new adventure filled with references to classic games such as PaRappa the Rapper and Journey.
The new Astro Bot game will feature six galaxies, spanning over 80 levels. Astro’s Playroom, which was pre-installed as a launch title for the PS5, showcased the PS5 controllers innovative haptic feedback. Astro’s Playroom was a pleasant surprise when it released on PS5, and it demonstrated the potential of haptic feedback technology, and I wish that more games will take full advantage of this feature.
Astro Bot is set to release on September 6th, 2024.
