Black Myth Wukong Will Release On Xbox Series X|S After PC And PS5

Game Science, Black Myth Wukong developer, has confirmed that Black Myth Wukong will launch on Xbox Series X|S after the PC and PS5.

The surprise announcement was revealed during a trailer at the Summer Game Fest 2024 where the Xbox logo was absent. However, at the Game Awards 2023, the Xbox logo was present during the Black Myth Wukong release date trailer.

Developer Game Science has confirmed the reason for the Xbox delay is due to optimising the Xbox version to meet quality standards:

“PC and PS5 users can enjoy the full game starting August 20, 2024,” reads the full statement. “We are currently optimising the Xbox Series X/S version to meet our quality standards, so it won’t release simultaneously with the other platforms. We apologise for the delay and aim to minimize the wait for Xbox users. We will announce the release date as soon as it meets our quality standards.”

Black Myth Wukong pre-orders are now available, and it will launch on PC via Steam / the Epic Games Store and PS5 on August 20th, 2024.
