The Last of Us Part II Remastered Confirmed by Naughty Dog, Coming January 2024

There were rumours circulating suggesting that The Last of Us Part 2 II was getting a remaster for PS5, and now Naughty Dog has confirmed it. The Last of Us Part II Remastered will feature enhanced graphics, including native 4K output in Fidelity Mode, 1440p upscaled to 4K in Performance Mode, as well as DualSense support.

As well as the graphical enhancements and performance boost, The Last of Us Part II Remastered adds the following new features:

• Lost Levels – Early-development versions of three new levels not seen in the original game
• Guitar Free Play mode – Allows players to play with unlockable instruments
• Unlockable Speedrun Mode – Allows players to post their best times
• No Return – A roguelike survival mode

Naughty Dog confirmed via a blog post that The Last of Us Part II will launch January 19, 2024, on PS5, and you will be able to upgrade to a digital version for $10. There’s been no mention of a PC port as of yet. You can watch the trailer below.
