Finding the Dragon’s Tears (Geoglyph Locations) is part of the main quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, however; this quest is optional. The Dragon Tears quest will be available after you have completed the Impa and the Geoglyphs quest.

Spoiler

There are 12 Dragon’s Tears to find in total across Hyrule, and each tear will trigger a cutscene once found, which are Zelda’s memories. Once you have found all the Dragon Tears, you will be able to get the Master Sword, as long as you have enough stamina.

Below is the complete map of Hyrule, showing where to find each geoglyph.
