PlayStation has confirmed plans to introduce PC games support for the PlayStation VR2. Sony made the announcement via a PlayStation blog post. Sony is currently in the testing phase, which will allow players access to more PS VR2 games via PC.
In the blog post, Sony said “We’re pleased to share that we are currently testing the ability for PS VR2 players to access additional games on PC to offer even more game variety in addition to the PS VR2 titles available through PS5. We hope to make this support available in 2024, so stay tuned for more updates”.
This news is very exciting for PS VR2, and the decision to expand PlayStation VR2’s compatibility to include PC games marks a significant step forward for Sony’s VR headset. By opening the doors to PC titles, there is a possibility (not confirmed) to play PC VR games such the critically acclaimed Half-Life: Alyx.
With the possibility of PC games support on the horizon, the future of PS VR2 shines brighter than ever before.
